I ran across this advice from photographer Cheryl Jacobs today. My favorites are:
- Style is a voice, not a prop or an action.
- never apologize for your own sense of beauty.
- Never compare your journey with someone else’s. It’s a marathon with no finish line.
- Embrace frustration. It forces you to learn and grow, broaden your horizons, and lights a fire under you when your work has gone cold.
Words to live (and photograph) by.
